Volunteers are needed to help pick up trash in and around Lakeside Village on Saturday, September 12. RSVP then meet up near the Trailhead of Northshore Trail next to Lakeside Tower at 9 am.

Join your neighbors and help beautify Lakeside Village and Northshore Trail at the Keep Flower Mound Beautiful (KFMB) semi-annual Eco-Action Day on Saturday, September 12 (9-10:30 am).

Gather near the trailhead of Northshore Trail (near 2600 Edgemere, across from Lakeside Tower).

Everyone enjoys the beautiful outdoors in and around Lakeside Village, on Northshore Trail, and along the lakefront. Unfortunately, some visitors to the trails fail to pack out what they pack in.

Everyone is welcome at the event. Long pants, closed-toe shoes, work clothes and work gloves are highly recommended.

If you plan to attend, please email or call (972-900-5549) organizer Marilyn Lawson with the number in your group.

Trash bags and trash grabbers will be made available to volunteers (while supplies last).

Immediately following the trash pick-up event in Lakeside, there will be a KFMB recycling event. Drive up to Trietsch Memorial United Methodist Church, 6101 Morriss Rd., between 10 am to 1 pm and drop off your approved recyclable items at the designated stations. Bring household items (small appliances, small furniture), clothing and textiles, electronics, pens, pencils and markers, eyeglasses, plastic bags and other thin-film plastic, wire clothes hangers, and books. Note: Liquids of any sort, auto batteries, and tires will NOT be accepted.
