Fast casual concept serves freshly made food, pronto

So many choices of fresh ingredients make for an amazing meal in a flash.

Another great restaurant opened this week in The Shops at Lakeside Village. Branded Bowls officially began serving customers Thursday. Initial comments suggest that Marty Bryan and Brian Gasperson (purveyors of 1845 Taste Texas) have yet another hit on their hands.

But unlike 1845, Branded Bowls is open for lunch, and you can get a great meal for around $15.

“We have an amazing variety of toppings to go with our grains, beans, meats, sauces, and dressings,” said Brian Gasperson. “You can create your own branded bowl, one that represents you.”

Or you can opt for one of the five signature bowls: Vaquero Bowl (top seller), Asian Bowl, Power Bowl, Branded Salad, or Greek Salad.

The first location of Branded Bowls opened in Argyle just over a year ago and it has been an unqualified success.

A friendly staff is eager to help you brand your own bowl or select one of the Signature Bowls.

“We did 120 bowls for the Argyle football team,” Gasperson added. “The young kids love all the options, cold and hot. It is a healthy bowl concept on steroids. The response there has been phenomenal. And we believe the Lakeside Village location will be busier than the one in Argyle.”

In the Lakeside Village area, there’s a great number of people looking for fast casual lunches, he said. And there aren’t many options.

“We hope to attract folks from the Lakeside Business District and do a lot of corporate catering where companies need 20-30 bowls.”

To provide a little local flavor, one wall in the restaurant features actual cattle brands. They include Gasperson’s grandfather’s cattle brand from his ranch in Lewisville, Bryan’s brand, and a brand or two belonging to local residents.

“We’re cooking all morning to prepare the food. It’s not fast food, but it’s fast. And the guacamole is made four times daily.”

Branded Bowls is part of the Circle Star brand of restaurants owned and operated by Bryan and Gasperson.
